Frabinari
In the middle of the valley, through which the Alcantara river flows, stands this little farmhouse, surrounded by lots of fruit trees, principally lemon, and the mountains. It has been restored into a comfortable holiday home.
Next to the house, in the garden, we are building a new swimming pool. It will be ready in april.
From the terrace at the front of the house, and from the large first-floor balcony, is a magnificent view of the small mountain villages of Motta Camastra and Castiglione di Sicilia, which cling to the mountain wall seemingly as if they were eagle’s nests.
What is unique about the view from the house is that the top of Mount Etna can be seen.
The house, which lies beside the disused rails of the old slow train to Francavilla, has a large living-room with adjoining kitchen and open fireplace on the ground floor, and also the bathroom with shower and toilet.
Upstairs are two bedrooms and a toilet. One of the bedrooms has a king size bed, and the other two single beds.
The orchards and gardens around the house are regularly worked on, which gives you the opportunity if you so wish to meet the villagers.
There is electricity, gas to cook on, hot and cold running water, which is drinkable, and a washing machine. You only need to bring towels for personal use with you.
