Casalina
In the valley of San Cataldo, around the corner from the local bakery, is Casalina. A cheerful and intimate little holiday house suitable for two. Not only comfortable, it also has a beautiful view to the strikingly large arched bridge at the beginning of the valley.
The house has recently been renovated and refurnished and offers a comfotable stay in the country side.
On three sides of the property is a large terrace, which is partly covered, so that inside and out become one. The house stands in the middle of vine-yards, exotic cacti, fig and olive trees, and what is called in this area flourishing Japanese Medlar tree.
One terrace higher up, on the neighbour's land, is a small lemon grove. A long way further up live a shepherd’s family, who go early in the morning with their flock into the mountains, and return in the evenings.
Casalina certainly offers privacy, and rest and relaxation.
All the rooms in the house are on the ground floor: the living room with an open kitchen, the bedroom with a king size bed, and a bathroom which contains shower, toilet, bidet and sink.
There is electricity, gas to cook on, hot and cold running water, which is drinkable, and a washing machine. You only have to bring towels for personal use.
