Villa Alcantara
The name of this old and typically Sicilian farmhouse, “Villa Alcantara”, takes its name from the view over the small river called Alcantara, and the spectacular view of the chasm, through which the river surges.
Due to the house being high up, it also looks out over the fantastic scenery of the valley and the sky-blue Ionian sea at the mouth of the valley, some seven kilometers away.
The beautifully kept and extensive land around the house is completely at your disposal, and offers lots of shadowy places in order to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Sicilian landscape. The different terraces are next to all kinds of fruit trees, principally lemon and olive, from which you can pluck the ripe fruits to your heart’s desire.
From outside you enter into a large living room with an open-plan kitchen and fireplace. Up a few steps and you come onto a landing leading to three bedrooms and the bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have king-size beds, the other has two single beds. The bathroom consists of a bath with shower, bidet and sink.
There is electricity, gas to cook on, hot and cold running water, which is pure and drinkable, and there is a washing machine. You only have to bring towels for personal use.
